emLinks Free PHP Directory Script

emLinks is a web directory script written in PHP and using MySQL as the backend database. It has the following goals:

• XHTML compliant and valid.
• Easy to get up and running with minimal technical knowledge
• Easily configurable
• Template / CSS driven to make it easy to make visual changes.
• SEO friendly with clean, direct links to external sites.
• GPL licensed so code changes and sharing are allowed and encouraged.

The emLinks project is currently inactive. Version 1 has been abandoned due to technical issues with the code base. Version 2 is in the planning with a complete rewrite for ease of maintenance and extension. An alpha version should be available in late 2008, but this is not guaranteed.
